Insert Silence

This question is directed mostly at the turntablists is the group. How much time do you typically edit into the front of your tracks? I figure 2-3 seconds should give me enough room to work with. I don’t necessarily want the sticker to track the first sound in the file; like a Jay Z or whoever talking in front of a track. I want it to always track to the first beat, lead in snare, vocal or whatever I decide for that track (yeah I know, lots of wav editing). Hopefully it will work well when they put in the time code offset. Then I can start each track 5-6 grooves in and maintain my sticker match. Secondly, I would like to know how long it takes to lose the reflex that automatically makes you lift the vinyl off the platter when you want to switch tracks...

I've been using SSL daily for about a month or two now and I still DO IT!!!!!!!

lol

I wonder if we'll get so used to it that we'll try to find the 'vinyl scroll track' on normal vinyl?
LOVE that feature

ROFL - This happened to me a couple of weeks ago after a few drinks and poor lighting. I kept wondering why SSL would switch songs and start playing the track even though it hadn't moved on the computer.
