will they be free like the regular ssl updates?

i think it's a one time fee ($200) and free updates for life. that's just a guess.

there not going to charge for updates just for the plugin yes, 200 dollars.

will be avalible jan. 17. on mac you need 1gig ram, 5 gigs free on hd. and os 10.4.10 and 7.2 quick time

So, jan 15th, when they release it for purchase, shall it be buggy like now? Can u imagine buying a product which your computer cannot handle. Like mine?

I would think that if at that date, if it is still "buggy", they would hold off on the release until it was working right. Neither Rane or Serato are known for releasing buggy products... that's why it took a lot longer for 1.8 and video to come out. When it does officially come out, I'm sure there will still be a demo version you can try and if your machine can't handle it... why would you buy it?
So, I don't think you will have to worry about buying it and not knowing if it's gonna work or not.

I downloaded the video plug-in today on my MBP but I'm getting an error saying "run postflight script for video sl"..I'm new to macs...some one...help!! haha
