I am running the Latest Version of Scratch Live with V2 Vinyl. I have played this club 4 times each a 5 hour show without any problems in the last month, until tonight. I am using a dedicated Laptop just used for DJing. 1.6M Intel, 512 Megs of Ram,60 gig hardrive. XP. All my mp3 are ripped at 192. I have about 22 crates of music in Serato. The only situation that has changed is the location of the monitor. It has a 15" Driver and a horn the Club moved the monitor alittle closer. Seemed alittle more bass heavy tonight. I was getting some noise on my right turntable in Scratch live. The needle was picking it up on or off the record. I compensated for this. Regular records,no feedback. System worked fine for 2 hours. Then System began to give me serious problems. My left turntable channel was playing the signal. The Software apeared to be playing but no audio was outputing. No audio in the cue, channel or output. A regular record played fine. Meanwhile the right table with scratch live was playing fine. I played a cd in the club cd players and exited Scratch live. Restarted Scratch live and worked fine for three songs them problem came back. I repeated this atleast 6 times, rebooted 3 of those times. Audio dropped out on me in middle of song durring the fourth reboot. You can imagine the dancefloor reaction as I scrambled for a song. Something really strange happened on the fifth time. When I restarted Scratch Live my 6 hip hop crates were gone. I had to recreate and import them. No I wasn't drinking and slipped. I use a tablet pc and there isn't a keyboard to accidently hit any keys. Anyways.. Any thoughts? Could the Preamp be over heating? Maybe if overdriven? I have seen a few of my track get overdriven in parts.. I love the software and ussually works 100% hopefully someone has seen this before and it is a simple fix.
Thanks
Trevor

I'm sorry to hear this. What was your USB buffer size set at?
Synystr also had a problem with crates disappearing, so it might be some kind of bug.

Did you ever defragment your disk? Is the indexing service disabled?

USB Buffer size was set at one. Have practiced at home for 4-5 hour sets and never seen these glitches. Worked great at 4 gigs before. Indexing service is disabled. I did all the reccomended pc tweaks. This is a new computer so I have never defragmented the disk. I encoded all of my tracks using Itunes to 192kbs Mp3's. I have another gig tonight so I am scanning for corrupt mp3's. Should I reinstall Scratch Live and Defrag?

Maybe bad mp3s? I've had bad mp3s make one channel not output sound anymore while the other side worked, the only fix for that was also restarting SSL and then the 'damaged channel' would work again.
About crates disappearing I'm not sure... I found a problem when I imported a folder (making it a crate) with around 15 songs and everytime I load SSL there's one song missing. If I go to the ALL section the song is there, but it just won't stay in the crate no matter how many times I re-import it there, when I restart the SSL app the song is gone from the specific crate.

DJ Diego, is it this specific crate, or this specific song? Means, does this also happenwhen you add that song to a different crate?

Diego--- No this was just crate. I have 32 crates. Out of 32, 5 crates just dissapeared. I had to recreate each crate and import the files again. I think I might of found the prblem though. I scanned all my MP3's and foud 172 of my files were corrupted. They were songs that had played before but for some reason at my last gig caused the crash's. I fixed all my files and played 100% for 6 hours last night. I also changed the monitor positioning just in case.

nik39 - I'm not sure if it's the specific crate or song, but I will try and see... good idea!
