Have you tried using another USB port? The one you were using might not be working properly...

Did you install Service Pack 1?

yeah rocky when you plug it into different USB ports it will ask for the disk and install the driver. i had to do this for both of mine on my LT. sometimes the cable is loose too. i didnt use the one that came with SSL its a bit loose on my connection for me. i use dthe one that came with FS, lol its a tighter fit. glad you got it working.

Well, at least that's one FS thing working ;) Well, FS worked alright for you, didn't it?

yeah when i was using the linyx version once i had to switch to XP version i had nothing but problems. i used the linyx version for 2 years flawlessly. but i am so glad i took the plunge and switched over to SSL.

Linux rocks...Still no plans on making a Linux version of SSL, officials? ;)

that would be nice, i think linyx is alot more stable. and it uses less resorces i think.

Yeah, and you don't have to worry about viruses and shit...And you don't have to pay for it :D That's probably the best thing.

I don't think there is any need for that: just use a Mac and you have a solid Unix kernel and all the other advantages of Unix.

On FS: the only people that use it pro and have no problems are the ones that sticked with the Linux version. That was the original version from the company that developed it (N2IT I think it was). Then Stanton bought it and screwed it up. But now we have SSL so there is no need to worry about FS anymore :-)

your right bartaug thats what happened to me, used it linyx nice but the newer version sucked. oh and i stopped worrying about FS the day i ordered SSL.

bartaug - you are correct, it was N2IT.

Don't see the need for Linux though. Works flawless for me in XP...

I would rather have the Serato guys focusing on the current product than to waste time with a linux version... if XP was having issues, then I might change my tune, but Scratch Live works well on XP.

I second all you say, Detroitbootybass.

LOL. Well, Linux does rock. No doubt about that, man. However, as I said, I don't need it ASAP. I mostly use XP at the moment, but I would definitely use Linux more if SSL worked with it. You know what I'm saying?
