Switching to MacBook Pro **need help fast**

I just bought an Apple MacBook Pro and I currently run Serato on Windows Vista. I need to transfer all the songs as well as their current crates in place, their cuepoints that i previously set, and all tags recognized. How do i do that properly with no issues?

Yes, thanks a lot Konix. I'm switching to a Macbook Pro tomorrow. I'm gonna buy one in the morning....club is paying for it (sweet!). One question though, regarding an external, is there a preferred file system better than the other for mac? NFTS or FAT32? I think I recall reading something about this awhile back.

Macs cannot naitively write to Windows NTFS drives, only read. So you won't be save/change/edit/delete/modify anything on the drive. There are third party drivers to be able to write to NTFS drives on Mac, but they're not reliable and don't recommend it. FAT32 however can be read and write on both Macs and PCs. Use FAT32 if you absolutely have to use the external drive on both Macs and PCs on a regular basis. However, FAT32 limits individual file size to 4GB.

For best performance and reliability, you should format the drive to native Mac HFS+ format. However, Windows PCs cannot read or write Mac HFS+ drives, at least not without third part programs.
