we need Quick Scratch Buttons!

I saw a DJ using M-AUDIO TORQ and he showed me the QUICK SCRATCH BUTTONS...
I think all turntablism and scratch DJs are starving for this feature in scratch live ...
here's a video on www.torq-dj.com
what do you guys think?

yeah, I think it will be a really cool feature, and I would like to use in in Scratch Live...

It takes me always a lot of time to find the right scratch sounds in my scratch-sounds crate, so to push one button to come to the sound would be a great idea...

Also with the new sample-banks in the sample player such a solution would be a great thing...

So I'll set this one on my wishlist for x-mas ;)

the easiest way would be a short-cut like "load SP6-Channel 3 to right deck"
and you put the highlight-samples in your SP6 for Quick-Access.

this could be achieved when there is instant doubles to and from the sampler. You would have to always leave a couple scratch sounds in the sampler though.

This is exactly what I would do in torq. Out of the 16 sample slots 2 were the scratch sounds I used for quick scratch.

However, if we are going to take it this far... switching out tracks like that could be awesome too.

All we really need is a key combo and midi command for swapping a deck with a sample cell.

It's a pain having to jump to my scratch samples crate to load a scratch sequence, I also load my favourite scratch samples into a few of the SP6 sample banks and drag these onto the decks when I want to use them which saves some time, but you loose the currently loaded track which then have to relocate again.

I do the same thing. If I don´t want to lose a track I drag it to the prepare button.
Quick scratch would be sick though.

what if the program allowed the current song to KEEP Playing on the same deck and let u load the sample and scratch over top of it.

i think that's not possible because of channel routing. when you got a song on the right deck and load a scratch sound to the right. the song is still playing on the right channel and the scratch sound is on it too ... you'll get problems when you move the crossfader ...

what do you guys think about the feature "drop to quickscratch"?

if you drop the needle in the 10th ring of the control vinyl scratch live automaticly load the quickscratch sample. Its like you have scratch sounds on the last minute ring of the CV.

I think an easy way to add to this feature to SSL is to create a "LOAD L" or "LOAD R" button to each sample player spot.

So when you're on Sample player mode you can choose one and load it to a side. Hit it again and it would remove the sample, replacing it with the original file .

Not something I would use personally, but so many of you like the idea I guess I can chime in.
