does virtual dj works with sl box?

I read in another forum that this is possible.
Has anyone done it?

Yes, vdj works fine with the ssl box.

too bad no one seems to understand that for like 6 months you DONT need the 57.
serato made it work for ANY mixer.

i haven't been able to config this to work.

Its all done on the software...

having the 57 only gives you the controller for effects, and linked faders.
(which you can adjust in the settings)

all you need to do video with SSL is either a:
SL1
SL3
TTm57SL

anyone one would do.

why on earth ANYONE would want to use the SSL box with VDJ is beyond me.
you already paid the 500 for the box...why not use it.

unless your really just THAT CHEAP that you cant drop another 200 on the plugin

Plus you get what you pay for. VSL super stable, made for the rane platform. VDJ is barely stable even if you pay for it, why hack it and use it with unsupported hardware?

Now I understand why this mofo was selling me his TTM57 mixer for $900 but he wanted my SL1 also. He kept saying "this is the only mixer that will let u play videos"

just to let you know, it would make it a hell of a lot easier to mix video with a good MIDI mixer. there's a thread on it somewhere if you search VSL compatible mixers.

go drop 60.00 on a korg nano kontrol.
you can map all sorts of things on that...

i had a bar/club call me frantically needing me to come in. their resident dj quit (i found out why when i got there) that night. i asked what i needed to bring, they said just my laptop if that, they had everything there.
i show up to the joint, they have vdj, a desktop pc, two numark axis, and a shitty behringer. i walked out seconds after walking into the booth.
no vdj!!!! and no shitty equipment either.

funny, the way I got into video.
two years ago a guy approached me about taking over his night.
said they wanted video.
but they have a "great booth"

consisted of a denon 1800f, that gawdy 19" numark mixer and a desktop with Virtual DJ.
they had all the videos there (which were, in hindsite the most gawd-awful things ever )

it was a god damn greek tragedy.

i have a djm600 and apparently the fader only controls the sound. fawk!
So now what? You said I could get the KORG nano midi controller but still. Now i have to use 2 cross faders to go fromone video to the next one?
