looks pretty impressive with its Dvs style interface. Now I can try out that killer mix on the bus or train... Or toilet.

to me: it really looks like an iphone app company took all of serato's ideas and made a basic, small, iphone scratch live/itch. lol
"A new innovative way to beat match" the guy said about the visual waveforms. In his statement he made to be believed they came up with that idea to beat match that way. WTF?!! haha

Love the monotone voice over guy "now you can go to a party without gear and still make wild mixes" Sounds really...wild, when he says it.

This is worst than than those wannabe's who use ssl and don't have a rane box and go through a crates list and can't fade. I agree with skinnyguy on this. Oh well, might be a good very last resort.

just got it this morning. it actually isnt too bad for what it is. controls are pretty intuitive and the filter and eq sounds surprisingly good. loaded up some of my own 320 mp3s from beatport and it played them without a problem.
abit hard to beatmatch without headphones so mixing sounds like turd but still, cool to play around with. maybe with abit of practice might sound ok but not gonna be replacing any gear thats for sure. might be possible to use between djs switching out boxes, instead of just playing a mix off the ipod.

I got it too... It's hot trash... The only thing it's really good for is practicing your beatmatching. Without the ability to que up the next track it's just lame...it's bad enough I find myself looking at the waveform in serato too much.. Last thing I want to do is look at these waveforms as the only means of beatmatching. The efx and pitch are both good but I'm not feeling it overall.

To quote serato:
It is the only digital DJ system that stays true to the art of DJing with no auto sync or effects by design.
MrTM2....who uses SSL without a Rane soundcard? I've still never seen SSL 'cracked' unless people are playing the offline player out of the headphone port or something?

i've HEARD OF but not seen someone using ssl in demo mode for a fashion show. they sold the client that they had ssl (thinking they could get the full version for free). day of fashion show, they could only use the offline mode and the client had to supply their ipod to have a 2nd audio source. this made the client very nervous when i told her i used ssl. i told her that i had the hardware and that it performs much better with it. come day of her wedding, she was very relieved i had the "real" version and enjoyed her evening.
