After Typing in Search and Clearing Search...Have last location come back
Sorry, my title sucks.
I can't think of what to call it, but I can explain it and have video.
Let's say you are in a crate and just think of a song to play next either in that crate or in another and decide to use the search function. When you use the search and find the song you want and then clear the search to get back to the crate you were in, it will start from the top of the list.
So, say if you are in 120 bpm range and search for a track and then want to get back to your last location, you will have to scroll back to the 120 bpm range (if you are sorting by bpms)
Can we have a feature that will go back to your last location after clearing search.
I have provided a video that shows what happens when you use search.

It's 10 megs and I was in the same crate and searched the same track I clicked on, once I cleared the search it went to the top of the crate.
Don't pay attention to the ll tracks with no bpm, I was just showing that it went to the start of the bpm range.
Thanks

remembering the previous state or location prior to the search would be useful.

Someone told me you can hit tab and clear the search area to go to the song you just clicked on, but what if it's in a different crate than you were previously in.
Say you're doing a disco set and you search for a song that's in your 80s crate if you use the tab clear you will get stuck in the 80s crate, but if you just hit clear you will get stuck in the all audio area at the top of the section.
Even if you search in the same crate you are in, it will default to the top of the list.

+1 this bugs the hell out of me+1.
It would be so easy ... just make the "all" crate sticky, at the top.

It's not just the all crate, it's any crate. They will all default to the start of the list, which sucks if you are sorting by bpms and are in the 120 range and it drops back to 0. or if you're by artist and your at zz top and it starts at a.

Hm, now I can't follow you. The position only resets if you do a search, right?

yeah click on any crate and scroll down to the middle of the crate in the fields that show artist/title/bpm
click on search and type in a song (can be in all search ctrl/cmd f, or just in the same crate) one you've searched and found a track you want load it to the deck (no necessary) and now clear the search to see all the songs/videos again.
it will leave you at the top of that crate not where you were last.

Oh yeah... my bad.
Let me correct...
what you described needs to be fixed.
and not having to scroll down back to the *crate* should also be fixed (this could be done by making the all crate sticky, so you don't have to scroll the list of crates.

I think it would be cool if you pressed CTRL+F (where it searches all music and puts your keyboard focus in the search bar) and then press it again to go back to your library and not type in the search bar.
In other words... use CTRL+F to toggle between search and library.
