Some files are corrupt when loading into serato.

Hi, This problem is slightly more complex than you might think..

Whilst DJaying, sometimes when i load a track only the first 2 secs of a track will load consequently if i go to play the song the control cd will automatically skip to track 2 despite the fact im at the very start of track 1. This happens intermittently and on various random tracks. Obviously first instincts indicate there is a problem with these specific files, however 10 / 15 mins later the very same track will load fine.

I am using SL1, external hardrive and a macbook, the mac is about a year and 2 months old and the external about 8 months.


Please Help.

Does this only happen to files that are on the external HD? Or does it happen to files on the internal HD aswell?

All my files are on my external hardrive.

Lets put some songs on the internal HD and see if it happens then. What OS are your running? Could be a performance issue with the drive.
