ARGH!!! Speaker subs blew tonight!

I was Djn'n a 21st tonight and....damn....I was 5 and a half hours into it, with half an hour left, and the 2 left 12 inch subs blew and it was running off just the right ones and then 5 minutes later, the right side blows. Should I have gave the girl back some of the money that she paid for the party? cause I didnt, and I just feel bad now. . . what a crap way to finish the night

How can subs blow out though? is it the brands or can it be a overheat issue?

If the girl appeared happy after that incident than im sure she didn`t mind at all go by how she treated you. With only half an hour left why bother giving her some money? if you truly feel guilty than 10% wouldn`t bad

i don't think that's any reason to return money unless people left because of it. you really need to find out why your speakers shit the bed, though.

was this a passive or active setup. 12" as subs I'm surprised they haven't been blown out. Hope you made enought money to cover the repair. Also what name were the speakers.

Either these subs were cheap brand or you were pushing them too hard. Either way, 30 mins before the party is over isn't a big deal after 5.5 hours.

Find out why you blew the subs so it doesn't happen again btw.

I think your looking at this all wrong, not only should you keep the money you should be sending her a bill for the blown speaker and the time and effort it is going to take to replace it, you were doing your best to make her party jump off and because of her party your now out 2 speakers, and if she gives you any shit take her as to judge judy!!!

Those lights move on your mixer? On mine they stay solid showing me all the colors.
