Hey guys....after a bit of chatting on this board, i just got SSL for myself. WOOOHOOO.
but, sadly, i'm having an issue. i searched the forms i couldn't find anything relevant.

Ok, so the signal is incredibly loud causing distortion. even when i tried turning down the master gain, and all the gains on my mixer, the signal is too distorted. on the ssl application, output is in green, normal levels. but like i said, the actual sound im getting is very distorted...

so far i've cleaned the needles, checked the connection, reinstalled SSL, changed the chords and changed the USB port to no avail. here are my specs

windows xp, 2.2ghz 512 mb ram...
technics 1200 m3d, ortofon concorde-s needles, stanton sk2f mixer, philips cd burner....

also, the signal monitor on SLL looks fine, in the green areas, but by the time it hits the mixer its completely maxed out...turning down the levels still leaves a distorted sound.
finally, yes i did calibrate before i started, and
thanks for your help guys...

You didn't mention it in your post, so I'll ask the obvious question. Do you have the SSL hardware outputs wired to a Line input on your mixer?

Yeah - sounds like you have the SSL output hooked into the phono inputs on your mixer.

better to figure this out at home rather than at the club. you should update your profile to show you are a proud ssl owner.
