Sennheiser UK - Rane TTM 56 Repair
Hi,
Wonder if anybody can help. I sent my mixer away for repair to Sennheiser UK for a fader fault. They found faults on all my faders and replaced them all. Mixer is out of warranty so this was chargeable, however got mixer back today and the cross fader is very very stiff. Does not glide across effortlessly! Useless for scratching! :-(
Im hoping I can either fix this myself or if I need to send it back Sennheiser will not charge me for the repair or logistics. Has anyone had similar problem?
Thanks

Repairs should be covered under "repair warranty" for 90 days. You can contact them again.
You might also consider a product that we use all the time to clean the rails. It is Deoxit FL5 (fader lube)

if its just stiff try using tuner control spray, it'll make your crossfader extra buttery.

Hi Phoenix - For the first repair as it was chargeable i had to use my own courier. I used royal mail, cost me £21.00 from post office got there next day on a special delivery.
When returning they used Inter link.
Initially the turnaround time was 3 weeks, however you have to bear in mind that my first repair was out of WA so this was probably not a priority to them.
Subsequent repairs were collected by them and turned around in under a week.
I suppose sh*t happens and i could have been really annoyed in first instance, however i am very impressed in the way they owned by problem there after and further work was completed at no cost to me. I also had direct contact with workshop TL who seemed like he really wanted to help me and get this fixed ASAP.
Quick question - to clean my faders with "DRY LUBE Silicone Spray" i assume i do not need to remove the faceplate to clean faders with this?
Cheers
