Bug: Web robot emails links to 2 different topics depending on login status

The serato web robot sends out an email notifying me of a new message in a tracked discussion. The link is:

www.scratchlive.net

When I click on that link, if I am not already logged into the forums, it goes to an incorrect discussion titled "HIDE YOUR PLAYLIST FROM WONDERING EYES". If I log in and click on the link, it goes to the correct discussion, which is "sync crates to folders".

This appears to happen with all of the tracked message emails that I receive. When I am not logged in they go to the wrong discussion.

That's strange - when I click the link and am not logged in I see the 'Sync crates" thread.

What browser and OS are you using?

Also, is there any reason why you don't have the "Remember me" option enabled when you log in so that your browser keeps you logged in?

Firefox or IE and Windows XP. I don't have "remember me" enabled because I am logging in from 4 different computers and I guess when I log in from one it logs me out from the others, or something. But I can reproduce this issue on every Windows XP box I try and with every "New message in tracked discussion" email.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info Eli Lilly.

We have heard of similar behavior affecting other people so there's a gremlin in the system somewhere. But it's a very obscure problem and it's hard for us to replicate.

But I'll look into it again and keep you posted.
