Loading samples through the 57
What's up guys,
I was wondering if there was a way to load a track to the sample player using the 57 controls instead of using the mouse to drag and drop the track into the sampler. Just like how you can hold the joy stick down and press the buttons to set cue points, can you do this with the sampler?
Thanks

I'm gonna venture out there and say "no". Perhaps create a feature suggestion if there isn't one already. I was asking myself the same thing earlier.

I was asking myself the same thing earlier.I don't think there is a "specific" button on the 57 to load to the sampler. You might be able to set up a MIDI player to load to the sample player. I'm not sure. I use my Nano to play the samples, never tried to set up a load button.

Hello DJayFade,
There isn't currently a control on the 57 that will do this but as D'BEAU said, I would post this in the 'feature suggestions' section.

Dj rick1013, You actually load a track to the sample player by doing exactly that, dropping down the tab and "DRAGGING THEM" or using "ctrl-alt- 'z/x/c/v/b/n' . Did you know that WRITING IN ALL CAPS TYPICALLY MEANS YOU ARE YELLING??? Perhaps you are frustrated but it is a huge indicator that you are a "noob". Do you have a manual? Try reading it 1st and searching the forum for answers before addressing the forum. Also, the "?" mark in the upper right hand corner (next to 'setup') will answer a ton of questions that you may have, such as this one, when clicked and moved over the area you're curious about. In addition, the sample player may 'loop' but it does not have loop points- only differing modes: trigger/hold/start-stop. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU EARN A LITTLE BIT O' RESPECT 'ROUND HERE DJ RICK1013 AND GETS YOUR SAMPLE PLAYER WORKING! SOMETIMES ONE MAY ALSO JUST NEED A QUICK RESTART TOO. (heh-heh...all CAPS)
P.S. the SSL 1.9.2 update has some new sample player features.
