the Jazzmans are just on a whole other level. 45s are the shit, but not for everybody. You could also call them needle wreckers if you get carried away.

I think if anything this is take the price of white vinyl down. I'm sure it will sell out some what quick but if you order in the first day or two they are on pre order you shouldn't have a problem getting them. The reason white vinyl is so expensive is because people can't get it by making it available to all of us isn't going to drive the price up.

Yep, this statement was completely true up until Stokyo announced that they were pressing Shibuya Breaks in white vinyl. So now, the Tittsworth/Plant Music SP and the Shibuya Breaks SP are the only official white control records on the market.
Shibuya Breaks will also be released in Smoke, Cobalt Blue and Black, just to clarify.

Let me address a couple of things:
1 - Yes, our shipping is free. We factor it in our low prices so there are no surprises at checkout or order time. Lots of places have dirt cheap prices, and then you go to pay and the shipping is 4 times the regular rate. Sorry for any mis-perception everyone.
2 - as for price gouging, not a chance. We're all DJs here ourselves. We need to keep things priced to keep the bandwidth flowing and the tables spinning. We're humans, and made an error in our race to post the vinyl this morning. We are 1 day from Rane, so we knew we'd get it super fast! :)

We are taking photos this week of all of our records here at Serato. We'll have a discogs page in place ASAP for us to oogle at them.

Agripro is awesome. I had an issue with shipping one time and it was fixed immediately. Just ordered a set of purples as they go great with my dj logo.

Hm, I always thought AGIPRO was special, cause they also ran the first Scratch LIVE forum when this was not up, and Serato used it as well. Don't mistake any sites claiming they have the purple marbles for sale. The purps everyone is posting is the new clear purple versions. Even ebay is showing stock pics of the GC purple marble thinkining thats what they have on pre order. Don't get burnt guys.

And they both have control tone, so they basically do the same thing if you're only using that side.

Not too thick, just right... The thing I like too is that even though the smoke and cobalt are clear, the marbling in them makes the groove way easier to distinguish when compared to a normal Rane record...

I meant why limit the pressings they put out...not limits per order. Currently, they don't have a limit per order that I know of.
If they want "more people to experience the record" then they should just keep on pressing. So when they say "more people" to me it means "only 600 people" (cause you know everyone is buying doubles or ordering even numbers.

The Cobalt looks similar to the new blue in this pic, but the cobalts are almost opaque. They are very cool. I have another Blue CV that is the same as the cobalts, but it has a black smudge in the vinyl.

I'm getting fed up following these threads only to find they are sold out.
At first, I thought the Serato pressings were a great idea, I ordered (and received) Diplos, Ninja Tune & Jazzman. But the way this has turned out with Tittsworth & Shibuya is total BS IMO, partly blaming Turntable Lab for this situation. If Serato thinks it should be this hard getting hold of a pair white cv's I wished I bought those bootlegs while I had the chance. End of rant, and end of tracking this discussion for me....

Yeah they told me, "we're actually still using a paper system for keeping track of records". It blew my mind, I don't even have a paper system for taking notes or keeping a grocery list anymore, I have no idea how they keep everything together.

So, if serato control vinyl makes you a happier person, dj, friend, etc and provides us with something we will use for a long time if not forever so be it. Drop a couple bucks and just remeber all that cash we use to spend on records. Hope this justifies your cv purchases. If not just lie to yourself or get another gig. Sorry, just felt like sharing.

there was no better way to build hype for these CV's than this thread. had Dub C not started it, I don't think there would be this much anxiety. CV's are one hell of a drug!

I dont consider I am punk. I know the Whites are rare already being the first time able to purchase. Thats why I bought 6 Whites, 2 to collect, 2 to use and 2....... dont know yet (maybe ebay hehe). 4 Cobalt 2 to collect, 2 to use but if I can get more Cobalt then why not?
It just so happens I can get 10 more Cobalt because the depend in Japan is not as high as the US. You cant blame that we have so much CV junkies in the US.

There are different variations. I have seen a few of the smokes, as I know the president of STOKYO. Even some of the cobalts turned out really transparent rather than the solid blue that most people have received. I'm getting a pair and I'm not sure which ones to take??? I assure you that STOKYO is on top of the releases. They have worked hard in this collaboration with Serato to get everything as perfect as can be, from record quality to distribution. I wouldn't assume that TTL is the only place to buy them... I have a good feeling, knowing STOKYO personally, that there will be other places for you to get them. I'm not at liberty to say but not all hope is lost for those of you that want some still....

Oh yeah if you meant the record stores, then I would assume they don't know much...lol. Just wait a week or so... There will be more to come. I'm still not sure what colors to pick up????

well, she can't get too mad, i make about 4 times what she does an hour. but she can see it becoming a habit/addiction.... which i think it has. and that means less heels and purses for her. hahaha.

In a manufacturing point of view. If they really only press 250 for Smoke they will be losing money. To break even for each press, they must press at least I say 1000 (just guessing) to make it worth while. If anyone is familiar in making t-shirts its pretty much the same idea. Make a few will cost an arm and a leg but making a shit load will cost pennies. (Not really but you get the idea)

Stokyo's Facebook says that the Cobolts will be out in 2 weeks. So I'm guessing TTL will be selling preorders in a week/week and a half since that's about how early they were for some of the other ones.
