57ssl performance better?

is the new mixer supposed to have better performance than the ssl? ive seen what it does with the onboard controlls and those seek knobs etc. sounds cool, but for 1400$?!, i might not want to tote an expensive mixer around with me everywhere. and the clubs we perform at usually have gear installed already.

so , my question for the rane guys is the 57 just a 56+ssl or did rane do something totally new to the ssl and mabyee increased performance (since its built in)?
