What are you going to do with your TTM56? Looking to get rid of it? What a coincidence, I'm in the market for a used one!

I'm convinced that the crossfader on my mixer is whats holding me back (or at least thats my justification for the purchase). PM me to tell me all about the cool effects on your 57 and an asking price on your 56.

i just bought a 56 yesterday...realized i probably shouldn't spend $1300 on a 57 anytime soon, and a friend offered me $200 for my stanton sa12. the 56 is BLAZING. the difference in the fader is way beyond noticeable; it's absurd!

I think the 56 is straight...i saw some videos introducing the 57, and that ish looks really complicated. well i dono..im that kinda guy that sticks with what works, and to say the least, the 56 is the best mixer i've ever layed my grimey paws on

for real; i had to throw a new focus fader in that stanton after only 1 year. the new fader ran me $100, PLUS it was such a rare part that i had to order it online (which i absolutely hate doing; i get all my equipment from my local record shop), and that took a little over 2 weeks! i was HATING. then, when the new fader came, the post was shorter than the stock post had been, so my fader knob was rubbing the faceplate. i had to sand it down (the plastic knob, that is!) so it would clear the faceplate. it was a pretty good mixer performance-wise, but while i was waitiing for the part,using my old vestax 06 (which is WRECKED up from years of previous abuse), it was hard to think well of it overall...

Doh! Never thought of that. Seriously. :-/


It is .. at first. Thats almost with every new gear which gives you new functions you havent had before. After some time, you know how to use them and you will be fine I think.

mister iLL, I thought the focus faders were not abuseable?

I'm looking to buy a ttm 56 so hit me up when 57 comes out.

nik- the thing is this: the mixer came stock out of the box with a p+g fader. The manual says that it can use both (there's actually a switch that selects whether you're using the p+G or the focus fader), so i bought the focus fader as a replacement....which wasn't much of a choice anyway, seeing as how i couldn't find the appropriate P+G replacement ANYWHERE...

no doubt this is why the fader knob rubbed when i put in the focus jammy. they didn't even spec the thing well enough to insure that, although it was meant to use both types of faders, that the thing would actually WORK WELL with both types of faders. i mean, you spec a replacement part that isn't the same size as the old part?!? surely even i would have red-flagged this at the design meeting. additionally, there was ZERO difference between using the focus fader with the switch set to either focus OR P+G....weird.

in any case, i'll never know about the durability of the focus faders, because now i'm rocking this 56!!

Ya, I used to have a sk2f before ttm56 was around, I've never replaced a fader since, but those days I would need a new fader every 3-6 months.

My TTM56 will go on sale... as soon as my TTM57 comes in.

exactly what happened to mine!!! pissed me off because it was broken...but the fader wasn't really broken...you know? i've had faders wear out before, but never snapped one.
